It was our first time to stay there and it will be our last. At one time it was a first class lodge but now it is dirty, we had to look at 6 different rooms and by then it was so late and we were too tired to move. The place was filthy.
It was close to the golf course and good restaurants. The towels were great.
The carpet was dirty which always makes me uncomfortable.
Spacious room and the view.
The upkeep of the hotel, very rundown.
Location - our room was at least clean.
When we arrived there was a huge pile of trash outside the reception area. The breakfast was horrible. I had never had boiled sausage before. The eggs were cold and none of the tables had been cleaned. The lights were burned out in the hallway outside of our room, it was very dark. There was no lighting at the rear of the building.
The view of the mountains and lake.
The hotel is under new management and ownership. This transition period result in fewer services to customers
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was O.K.
The outside needed some up keep and the bed didn't sleep well.
Location, Price, ease of getting into and out of
Resturant and bar were closed. A little rundown, but it has been there for about 35 or 40 years
The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was a bit outdated, but clean and a good value for the money. It was in a very good location for the business trip I went there for.
The breakfast was really disappointing. I have had other continental breakfasts with three times more variety. Also the fact that there is no hotel staff overnight. I guess I am not used to this because I have stayed at major chains in the past.
The staff was very friendly and gracious. The morning breakfast was good make your own waffles plain and Blueberry, biscuits, gravy sausage... Pretty nice for the price. Close to a lot of restaurants, and the grocery store. Clean comfortable affordable ski hotel. I would recommend using Alpin Haus Ski Center for anyone getting ski rentals since it is very close by and good prices.
No real complaints, maybe breakfast a little earlier? It started at 7am.
Lights off,in most areas ,,to save money??? Cold,,,,,and breakfest room not open in morning @ 730,,,wont stay thiere again..
I liked the fact that the lodge was reasonably priced and it was not in the heart of downtown Pagosa but on the outskirtsof the town. It also had a heated pool and a hot tub.
The property was extremely cold. When I asked why in the lobby no answer was given.
The staff were very friendly! The rooms were clean. The price was reasonable. The location was excellent.
The pool and hot tubs were a little run down and smelled of mildew. We booked a king room but got two queens.
This was a horrible hotel experience, no breakfast, as advertised, internet connection was sporadic at best, carpets were stinky, our room wasn't clean, the mattresses were old and had icky foam pads on top of them,I would never stay here again! We would have left, but it was late and we had no where else to go.
Hot tub and proximity to skiing and ample parking. It was a fair value considering the skiing and holiday season.
Outdated rooms, the bathroom curtain was filthy and there was a stale odor in the room. Overall this was expected though due to lower price than other hotels in the area.
Staffers were generally helpful, and available.
The hotel had a lot of unrealized potential. The pool and fitness area appeared rundown, unclean, and apparently neglected. Room furniture also seemed rundown, with stains on drapes and ceiling tiles. There was also what appeared to be a full restaurant that was entirely closed and roped off the three days I was at the hotel.
